Seeley's Bay, Rideau Waterway

We stayed there last night - great spot! It's a very small town, but the residents are trying very hard to attract boat traffic. Yesterday they opened 2 new walking trails, with dedicated areas and instructions for fitness activities. ('Vita Parcours' , common in Europe I'm told) This adds to their lighted ball field, shuffleboard, bocce, tennis court and picnic area - all free. New washrooms, docks and showers, grocery store, restaurant, liquor and beer. The dockmaster is Chrisitine, her number is on the sign. The website is:

Thanks for the recommendation! We'll be starting up the Rideau on June 1.

How quickly do you plan yo get to Ottawa, and where will you head from there?

We were heading down, to Kingston, not up - but the tour boats plan 3 day to Ottawa from Jones Falls, but with a side trip to Westport, and longish stay in Merrickville.

We're in Westport for the day today, heading to an anchorage on Big Rideau Lake or to Smiths Falls tomorrow. Whereabouts are you and what is your boat make and name?
