Cruise South Sound

Postby melkowal » Sun Apr 11, 2010 8:12 pm

Few cruisers contemplate South Puget Sound as a destination. They are missing out on a great area. Fresh caught whole salmon at bargain prices at Boston Harbor. Some great parks, marinas and anchorages as well as all the amenities of Olympia, the state capitol. The Olympia Farmer's Market is alone with the trip. The Squaxin Island tribe museum, great restaurants, casinos, the capitol building tour (free) Taylor Shellfish, and on and on. Let me know if I can help you plan a trip south.

Sounds good. Have you ever been to the TUG BOAT RACES? Worth the trip south?

Tug Boat Races are a hoot. They are part of a big weekend in Olympia with lots of ancilliary functions going on plus the famous Farmers Market. Worth the trip.
